What's The Worst Thing You Could Forget Before Heading To Competition?

What's The Worst Thing You Could Forget Before Heading To Competition?
Two-a-day practices are finishing up and it's time to hit the road for the 2017 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship! As you finish your packing and get ready to get on the bus or plane to competition, we have compiled a list of items you absolutely MUST NOT forget to pack.

You must have your Uniform!

There is absolutely no way you can head to competition without your uniform. Pack your skirt, shell, midriff, sports bra, spandex, socks, bow and cheer shoes all in one bag at the top of your suitcase so you can't forget it. Pro Tip: Do a squad uniform check before you hit the road so you can make sure everyone on your team has the necessities.

Bobby pins are a must.

You will put twenty in your hair and I can guarantee they will all disappear by bedtime. Pack extra bobby pins and hair ties to keep your hair in place all weekend long.

Rain, rain go away!

As much as we try, we can never predict the weather. Especially if you are heading some where on the coast like Florida. Always pack an umbrella or rain jacket to throw on in case of a surprise monsoon while walking to the venue. You must protect those curls!

Snacks are essential.

Between orientation, practices, walk-throughs and competition sitting down for a full meal will be hard to manage. Pack granola bars and other healthy snacks in your backpack to fend off hunger on the long days.

A Positive Attitude!

Confidence and positive vibes go a long way on competition weekend. Everyone is nervous and stressed out so keep a positive attitude to make sure your squad stays in good spirits all weekend long.
