They may only have four coed skills on the mat, but Small Coed D1A will have some of the most impressive skills in the entire competition! This division has 1-4 males on each team and some routines in this division will consist of both coed and all girl stunts! Teams in this division have the opportunity to create coed and all girl skills that will compliment each other while maxing out difficulty points.

In 2016 North Carolina State won their first ever Small Coed D1A national championship title and were the first team to take home the gold over Louisville after their three-year winning streak. NC State packed their routine with stunt difficulty and an impressive amount of elite tumbling. As they opened with four coed stunts, the rest of the team cross tumbled with a variety of series to full passes.

Since 2009 University Of Louisville had claimed six of the Small Coed titles, but after consecutively winning three championships, Oklahoma State broke their winning streak in 2012. The Cowboys didn't hang on to the title for long and the Cards managed another 3-peat from 2013-2015. In 2016, Louisville had the second highest raw score in the division but their 1.5 point deduction ranked them 4th.

Another stand out team is University of Texas San Antonio, who's made a name for themselves in this division as the 2015 and 2016 silver medalist. In 2015, their raw score was only .12 behind Louisville. This year UTSA won't be a Small Coed D1A competitor and another finalist position will open to teams in this division!

Will the Wolfpack go back-to-back or will the Cards win their seventh championship in this division? Tune in LIVE Thursday, April 6th at 11:53AM ET as Small Coed D1A teams compete in the Preliminary round at NCA & NDA College Nationals.
