UIL Track And Field State Championships 2024: What To Know

The University Interscholastic League Track and Field State Championships again will help bring a close to the high school track and field season, as athletes from across Texas converge on Mike A. Myers Stadium & Soccer Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

The top student-athletes from seven classifications/categories (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A and Wheelchair) will compete to see who is the best of the best and who will leave Austin as a state champion!

Competition at Mike A. Myers Stadium will take place May 2-4, live on FloTrack.

Take this opportunity to watch some of the Southwest’s top high school track & field stars compete in a variety of races and events.

Class 3A and 4A will take the spotlight Thursday, May 2, Class 2A and 5A and the Wheelchair athletes will take over the venue Friday, May 3 and Class 1A and 6A will have the place to themselves Saturday, May 6.

The three-day event will feature a variety of field competitions and track events, as each classification gets the chance to determine the state’s best in more than a dozen total events each.

The competition each day will begin at approximately 9:00am CDT with the field events and 3,200 meters, continuing throughout the day, while the track events will take place in the evening.

About Mike A. Myers Stadium & Soccer Stadium

Mike A Myers Stadium is home to the University of Texas soccer and track & field programs and built with versatility in mind, allowing it to be one of the premier dual-sport venues in the country.

The facility, which opened in 1999, can seat more than 20,000 spectators and has a separate scoreboard for each sport. There’s also lighting for night competition, concessions, locker rooms, a training room, a press box and areas for teams to comfortably congregate.
