The Eaglette's impressive preliminary performance advanced them into finals ranked second. Their hard work over the last 24 hours helped them fine tune every detail of the routine. They added an additional practice before taking the stage in finals. The practice focused on improving sharpness, sticking their movements and holding the ending picture.

Olathe North's cops and robbers themed routine set them apart from the other teams in the large varsity pom division. The team started out as robbers with money bags as props. In the middle of the routine, they pulled green poms out of the money bags to represent the stolen money. During the last transition of the routine, two girls danced to the front of the stage in a costume change as cops.

Coach, Sara Heptig, told us how the theme was inspired by the choreography.
We like to do things different and be a little be creative. We were looking for something fun and that was exactly how it turned out.
Bringing home the very first NDA High School National Championship means so much to Olathe North High School. The team has worked so hard and pride themselves in representing the community. They are excited to be heading back to Kansas with black jackets!
