The 2023 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship is upon us and the teams in Division IA are a must-watch for all!
The teams competing in Coed and All Girl Division IA are ready to hit the mat and prove they have what it takes to end up on top. These must-watch routines will leave you wanting more as they will be some of the best cheerleading performed throughout the weekend.
The Division IA action is set to begin starting at 3 PM ET on Saturday, January 14th in the AdventHealth Arena - South at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
As we get closer to the exciting event, let’s take a look back at the Division IA results from 2022!
University of South Florida
Cheer Division IA
Cheer Division IA always seems to excite the crowd as teams display elite baskets, stunts, and pyramids and engage the crowd with their favorite spirited traditions. In 2022, the University of South Florida took home their second straight title, after hitting a zero deduction routine in Finals.
Fun Fact: The University of South Floida was the only team to hit a zero deduction routine in Cheer Division IA Finals!
The Crimson Tide from the University of Alabama came in second by 0.8 and The Ohio State University came in third place with their high paced routine and unique transitions.
Who will prove they have what it takes to be victorious in 2023? The battle for the championship title is ON!
University of Alabama
All-Girl Division IA
Each year, this division provides some of the fiercest competition at the championship. In 2022, the University of Alabama did not disappoint as they finished with a 91.7 to become the 2022 UCA National Champions.
Right behind the Tide in second place was Western Kentucky University with a final score of 91.3. WKU made history the year prior as they claimed the program’s first-ever UCA National Championship.
The Ole Miss Rebels rounded out the top three as they displayed an impressive routine filled with clean skills and a crowd-engaging cheer.

Small Coed Division IA
For the first time in the Small Coed Division IA, Western Kentucky University was triumphant in claiming the championship title! With a score of 92.7, the Hilltoppers hit a perfect routine to secure the win. Can the team repeat their success in Orlando yet again? We can't wait to find out!
The University of Memphis finished in second place with an 87.8. The Tigers are 4-time National Champions who always remain a top competitor in this division. Bowling Green State University rounded out the top three with a final score of 84.2.
