The 2023 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship has finally arrived and you don’t want to miss the top-notch competition in Division I!
The teams competing in the Coed and All Girl I divisions have worked all season long for the moment they take the mat and their performances will be jam-packed full of unbelievable pyramids, stunt sequences, and crowd-engaging cheers! You don’t want to miss the excitement as each team shows if they have what it takes to bring home the title!
The DIvision I action is set to unfold starting on Saturday, January 14th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Before the competition begins, let’s take a look back at the Division I results from 2022 as the biggest competition in collegiate cheerleading is just around the corner.
Morehead State University
Cheer Division I
This specific division never fails to amaze everyone who watches it as teams perform some of the best cheerleading skills in the country. Last year, Morehead State University rose to the challenge once again and took home their 29th UCA College National Championship title!
The Wolves from the University of West Georgia followed right behind them in second place with a final score of 84.4. Finally, the University of Delaware rounded out the top three in this division after exhibiting their high-energy routine!

University of West Georgia
All Girl Division I
All Girl Division I proves year after year to be one of the most intense divisions at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship! The University of West Georgia battled their way to the top as they took home the gold to become the back-to-back National Champions in Division I! The Colonels from Eastern Kentucky University finished right behind them in second place with a final score of 88.
Fun Fact: Eastern Kentucky University won the Virtual Cheer All-Girl Division I title in 2021 to make history for their program!
Finally, the Hens from the University of Delaware placed third in this division after showing off their routine filled with unique transitions with high levels of difficulty!

Small Coed Division I
In Small Coed Division I, Eastern Kentucky University achieved success once again after delivering a nearly perfect routine in Finals! The Colonels were triumphant after receiving a score of 94.6. Can the team come out on top in Orlando once again?
Hofstra University also displayed an impressive routine as it was filled with unique stunt sequences and dynamic pyramids. Their efforts earned them second place with Grand Canyon University only 0.6 points behind them!
This weekend, Morehead State University is set to make history as they introduce a third team to their championship line up this year. The Eagles will now have a team competing in Small Coed Division I and we can't wait to see how they rank against the competition.
