The most spirited day of the year is underway now as college cheerleaders, dancers, and mascots put their favorite game day traditions on display at the 2023 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship!

One of the shining moments from today's competition was the Spirit Program divisions. The Spirit Program divisions showcase what traditional cheerleading and dance is all about – leading the crowd! For the division, cheer and dance teams work together on stage to create one action-packed performance. The teams are evaluated on their ability to lead the crowd, proper game day skill incorporations, execution of skills, motion technique, and overall routine.

After an exciting afternoon of performances, the University of Mississippi & Long Island University lead the way in Spirit Program divisions!

The University of Mississippi holds the top spot in Division IA Spirit Program with a performance score of 92.9167 and the Sharks from Long Island University swam to the top of Open Spirit Program with a performance score of 90.9167.

Finals for the fan-favorite new divisions will begin tonight at 7:30 PM ET in the Adventhealth Arena - South and fans can tune in to watch all the action unfold LIVE right here on Varsity TV!
