We are headed back to Daytona Beach for the 2023 NCA & NDA College National Championship! The top teams from across the country are traveling to the Bandshell and Ocean Center, to prove that The Work Is Worth It! 

The preparation for this prestigious event has been vigorous as teams are eager to battle it out for the coveted megaphone trophy and banner. Varsity TV will be providing full in-depth coverage all weekend long, and you don’t want to miss out as the fierce competition unfolds. 

In 2022, nine teams battled it out for the top spot in Advanced Small Coed Division I and the Wildcats from Weber State University ended the weekend by securing the NCA National Championship title.

As we gear up to enjoy some of the best college cheerleading in the country, let’s take a look back at the top four teams from 2022 in Advanced Small Coed Division I. Will a new champion rise to the challenge this April and take home the title or will Weber State take home the top spot for the second year in a row? Weber State University 

Weber State University entered Advanced Small Coed DI for the first time in 2022 and their inaugural run in the division was a major success. The Wildcats executed a routine packed with difficulty to claim the National Championship title with a final score of 96.882.

Stephen F. Austin State University

After scoring a total of 95.1621 points on the final day, the Lumberjacks took home the second-place trophy in Daytona Beach! The team exhibited high-flying baskets and impressive pyramid sequences in their 2022 routine.

Fun Fact: The Lumberjacks are 16-time National Champions!
