Navarro College On Top At Daytona After Day 1 of NCA With Score Of 96.9444

Since the creation of the Junior College division in 1998, it has been a must-watch division at the NCA & NDA College National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The first two years of the division were won by Miami Dade Community College from Miami, FL. Since the year 2000, the division has been dominated by two Texas schools that are now considered two of the top cheerleading schools in the nation.

Navarro College and Trinity Valley Community College have been battling it out on the Bandshell mat for almost two decades and the competition just keeps getting better with time.

In 2009, the Bulldogs from Navarro began to dominate the division as they won back to back…to back from 2009 until 2015.

In 2016, TVCC ended Navarro's seven-year winning streak and repeated their success in 2017.

Navarro earned the top spot the following two years before the Cardinals retook the division in 2021. The Bulldogs are the reigning Advanced Large Coed Junior College NCA Champions but will they hold onto the title this season? We can't wait to find out.

This weekend, another contender is joining in on the Advanced Large Junior College fun. Iowa Central Community College, the reigning Intermediate Coed Junior College champions, are set to battle it out against Navarro and TVCC to see if they can earn their program's first title in the Advanced division.

After an action-packed morning of performances, the Day 1 results are in. Navarro College is on top in the Advanced Large Coed Junior College division with a Day 1 score of 96.9444. Trinity Valley is currently sitting in second with Iowa Central in third place.
