There was a battle in Utah last weekend, and the West region teams didn’t hold back. It may be early in the 2023-2024 season, but these teams showed confidence and determination as they competed in front of judges for the first time. Teams could collect a maximum of 300 points for The League by Varsity All Star. Sixty-six eligible teams in the Youth, Junior, Senior, Coed, and League 6 divisions competed at ATC Utah on November 11, 2023. 

We looked at the programs that won the most points overall, and Rival Athletics pulled to the head of the pack with a total of 2,913 points, closely followed by Macs Allstar Cheer at 2,884 points.

Rival Athletics Revenge made headlines last season when they received the highest score at the D1 Summit. Revenge is again making a statement after receiving a 98.2, first place, and 300 points at ATC. It looks like another record-breaking season is on the horizon for this L4 Small Junior team. 

MAC’S Shadow also received an eye-popping 98.0667, first place, and 300 points. Four other teams scored in the 97s, including Mac’s Senior Starz, Phantom, Moonlight, and Rival Athletics Carnage. Scoring above 97 is impressive any time during the season, especially at your first competition in November. All five teams took home first place and 300 points. 

Rival Athletics, Macs, and Fusion All Stars have set themselves up for early success this season with more than 2,000 points awarded each. The League by Varsity All Star is a season-long points race, and teams have many opportunities to maximize their success. The League by Varsity All Star will combine each team’s Top 6 scores to determine their Regional rank. Then, The League by Varsity All Star will award National standings based on cumulative points. Check back in early 2024 for the standings debut.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?” 

Every team who competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League. Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your top 5 Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. In total, 120 winners will be recognized from 1st – 3rd place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the 5 regions across the 8 eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
