The 2023 WSF Grand Nationals was one of the first two opportunities for teams to win up to 600 points for The League by Varsity All Star. More than 200 League-eligible teams competed in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 2-3, 2023. We are now well on our way into the 2023-2024 season, and teams will start to accumulate points every weekend until April 2024. 

Teams will compete all season long for their shot at cash and prizes within their division regionally and nationally. Regionally, the League by Varsity All Star will consider the top six points from any competition in the season. Nationally, The League by Varisty All Star will add each team’s point values to determine the winners.

The top point values will be more competitive as the competition season heats up. We are already seeing tight competition on the Grand National stages, and it is going to be a great season. The programs and teams have already secured the second-highest point values they can. There are only a handful of 600 and 700-point value events all season long, and these teams have already set themselves up for success.  

We looked at the five programs taking home the most points from the 2023 WSF Grand Nationals. Stay tuned all season long and be on the lookout in early January 2024 for the release of the first Regional and National rankings.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?” 

Every team who competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your top 5 Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. In total, 120 winners will be recognized from 1st – 3rd place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the 5 regions across the 8 eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
