DanceFest Grand Nationals returns to the Milwaukee area in 2024, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event from Milwaukee’s Baird Center.

DanceFest is committed to inclusiveness (with recognition for every team) and focused on helping all competitors grow and develop, while paving the way for the next generation of dancers.

What To Know About Baird Center

DanceFest Grand Nationals returns to the Milwaukee area in 2024 and moves from Wisconsin State Fair Park to the robust Baird Center.

Opened in 1998, Baird Center is a focal point of downtown Milwaukee and has become known as an architectural and innovative marvel.

Baird Center includes nearly 190,000 square feet of uninterrupted exhibit space, a sizeable ballroom and ample meeting space, along with the Miller High Life Theatre, which can seat about 4,100 guests, and the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, home to the UW-Milwaukee men’s basketball team, the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals, Major League Soccer’s Milwaukee Wave and an amateur roller derby squad, the Brewcity Bruisers.

Never satisfied, Baird Center is in the midst of a $456 million expansion, with a focus on becoming certified as a Sensory Inclusive venue.

The project began in October 2021 and is expected to be complete in early in 2024, with a grand-opening gala set for May 2024. When done, the whole project will help the venue nearly double in size
