The Universal Cheerleaders Association Sandy Spring Classic is back in Sandy Utah, in 2024, and you won’t want to miss a minute of the action!

The UCA was founded 50 years ago with the goal of bringing together the motivation and excitement of cheerleading and the entertainment of high-level skills and athleticism. 

Now an industry leader, the UCA is responsible for approximately 50 virtual and regional events each year, along with the annual UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

What To Know About The Mountain America Expo Center

The UCA Sandy Spring Classic will return to the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, Utah, in 2024, and there’s plenty to see, do and eat around the venue.

The Expo Center opened in November 2000 and is the main venue on the Wasatch Front (a long and narrow metropolitan region in the north-central part of Utah) for trade shows, community events, meetings and conferences, while the bigger events go to the nearby Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.

The Mountain America Expo Center has five exhibit halls (totaling 243,000 square feet of exhibit space), several meeting rooms, 1,700 parking spaces and an accessible TRAX light rail stop.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?” 

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. 

Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. 

In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
