Cheer Power Southern Nationals, one of more than a dozen events on the Cheer Power calendar, returns to San Antonio’s Alamodome in 2024, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event.
American Cheer Power has been putting on championship events across the country for more than three decades. Athletes have grown to love the themes and unique awards, coaches appreciate the top-quality events, and parents even get involved, making it fun for the whole family.

What To Know About The Alamodome
Cheer Power Southern Nationals visits the Alamodome in San Antonio again in 2024.
The $186 million Alamodome opened in 1993 and continues to be both versatile and very busy.
The venue is home to the University of Texas at San Antonio football team, annually hosts the Valero Alamo Bowl (college football), welcomes many concerts, trade shows, and other events, and previously was the home of the world champion San Antonio Spurs (NBA).

The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star presented by Corksicle is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.
Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
