The National Cheerleaders Association San Marcos Classic returns to San Marcos, Texas, and Texas State University in 2024, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event.
The NCA San Marcos Classic is one of nearly 20 NCA Classic events scheduled for 2024 that will showcase the talent of young cheer teams from coast to coast, and this one comes just a few weeks before the 2024 NCA All-Star National Championship in nearby Dallas (March 1-3).
For more than 75 years, NCA has been focused on competition, camps/instruction, and philanthropy, all geared toward helping participants become the best cheerleaders, leaders, and people they can become.
Since 1948, the organization has been on the cutting edge of all things competitive cheerleading. The NCA motto is “The Work Is Worth It.”
Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as standout teams from Division I and Division II go head-to-head in this one-day Classic event with their sights set on obtaining points to The League and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About Texas State University
When the NCA San Marcos Classic returns to the campus of Texas State University in 2024, competitors and their guests will get to experience life at TSU, Bobcat culture, and the school’s amazing facilities.
The campus features beautiful accommodations for football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, tennis, soccer, golf, and track & field.
The main indoor location for sporting events and other competitions is the Strahan Arena at the University Events Center, which is home to Texas State volleyball and basketball. The venue, which was built in 1982 and renovated in 2018, can seat 10,000.
The school itself is home to more than 38,000 students and an educational/cultural foundation that began in 1899 with a focus on educating and preparing teachers.

The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star presented by Corksicle is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.
Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
