COA Grand Nationals returns to the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, in 2024, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event.
COA boasts more than three decades of facilitating cheer and dance competitions, and this one is the organization’s premier national event. There will be multiple performance halls, special awards and coveted jackets for the national champions.

What To Know About The Greater Columbus Convention Center
COA Grand Nationals returns to the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, in 2024, and the venue is one of the biggest and busiest in the nation.
A $140 million expansion and renovation in 2017 means the GCCC now features 1.8 million square feet of space, including more than 370,000 square feet of uninterrupted real estate for events. There’s 114,000 square feet of ballroom space, 75 meeting rooms and six parking facilities with a total of 4,700 on-site parking spots.
Within the venue, there’s plenty of room for eating, meeting, collaborating and connecting, as the internet system is capable of accommodating 20,000 users at a time.
The property is minutes from the John Glenn Columbus International Airport and connects to five hotels by enclosed sky bridge.

The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.
Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
