The GLCC Grand Nationals revisits Schaumburg, Illinois, and the Schaumburg Convention Center in 2024, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event. 

For two days, Varsity TV may look more like MTV, as the rock ‘n’ roll-themed GLCC Grand Nationals takes over the airwaves. Athletes will feel like rock stars, and the whole event will feel like a huge rock concert. Oh, and costumes are encouraged, too.

What To Know About The Schaumburg Convention Center 

GLCC Grand Nationals makes a return visit to the Schaumburg Convention Center in 2024, which means athletes and their guests will get to experience the hospitality of the Midwest and enjoy all the Chicagoland area has to offer. 

The Schaumburg Convention Center features almost 150,000 square feet of exhibition space, meeting rooms and the flexibility to host any type of event. It’s also connected to a 500-room hotel, which is convenient for competitors and their families.

The venue is close to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and 26 miles from downtown Chicago, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the quieter Illinois suburbs or the Windy City itself when there’s some downtime.

The convention center/hotel combo also allows for a few convenient food and drink options on-site.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?” 

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. 

Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. 

In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
