Insider Info: 2024 Aloha Indy Showdown

More than a dozen events this year will bring the Hawaiian spirit to locations and convention centers across the United States, and regardless of the time of year, conditions will be just right for a luau!

The Aloha Indy Showdown is the next opportunity for competitors and their guests to harness the island spirit, this time from the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, which still should be a few weeks away from warmer spring temperatures.

When the competitors, coaches, and fans put on their Hawaiian outfits and leis, Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event!

Since 2001, Aloha Spirit events have been bringing a bit of Hawaiian flair to each competition. At the luau-themed events, there is an emphasis on “Ohana” or family, and even the awards share the same sentiment.

Another special feature of each event is a 3-foot custom trophy known as the KA MAHALO Award. It is given to the team that exemplifies the spirit of the islands and displays above-and-beyond sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as standout teams go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining points to The League and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.

Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
