Schaumburg, Illinois, is going to be the cheer and dance capital of the Midwest this week, as the 2024 ASC Clash of the Titans Schaumburg & CSG Dance Nationals take over the Schaumburg Convention Center. Oh, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of it all!

ASC, or All Star Challenge, puts a theatrical spin on competition, and teams are judged as much on the entertainment value of their performances as they are on the fundamentals.

The Midwest-based CSG is known for creating a fun atmosphere and family-friendly environment around its events – one-day competitions, dance-only events and two-day national championships. Every team gets recognized. Every team gets an award. The top three finishers get medals.

What To Know About The Schaumburg Convention Center 

The Schaumburg Convention Center is one of the premier facilities in the Midwest, and the venue is a frequent host of cheer and dance competitions. Now, it will welcome a double-dose of talent for the 2024 ASC Clash of the Titans Schaumburg & CSG Dance Nationals.

The Schaumburg Convention Center features almost 150,000 square feet of exhibition space, meeting rooms and the flexibility to host any type of event. It’s also connected to a 500-room hotel, which is convenient for competitors and their families. 

The convention center/hotel combo also allows for a few convenient food and drink options on-site. 

The venue is close to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and 26 miles from downtown Chicago, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the quieter Illinois suburbs or the Windy City itself when there’s some downtime.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?” 

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. 

Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. 

In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
