What To Know About The Fort Worth Convention Center

When The Southwest Regional Summit heads to Fort Worth, Texas, and the Fort Worth Convention Center in 2024, many competitors and their guests will get to revisit their favorite parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Fort Worth Convention Center offers more than 250,000 square feet of exhibit space, meeting rooms, a ballroom, seating for up to 13,000, and an events plaza that connects to the unique Fort Worth Water Gardens

Check out this 3D view of the Fort Worth Convention Center.

The venue is less than 30 minutes from the DFW International Airport and is located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, which means shopping, galleries, restaurants, shows, events, hotels, and the competition venue all are close and conveniently located.

So much is walkable or a short ride away, including the famed Sundance Square entertainment district, historic Fort Worth Stockyards, and Billy Bob’s Texas, the world’s largest honky-tonk.

Things To Do In The Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Click HERE to learn more about Fort Worth, Texas, and how to make the area’s history and culture a memorable part of the weekend in the Lone Star State.

Fort Worth and the cities around it offer an opportunity to experience the historic Southwest and all things cowboy, plus many modern conveniences and exciting things to do.

Check out a cattle drive, learn about cowboy culture in the Stockyards National District, watch the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, get down at the world’s largest honky-tonk, or pick up some awesome souvenirs.

The area includes countless museums, galleries, gardens, historic locations, lakes, shops, festivals, sporting events and an amusement park.

Depending on the weather, maybe make a visit to the Fort Worth Zoo or the Texas Motor Speedway or a tour of Globe Life Field, home of the world-champion Texas Rangers!

Speaking of the Rangers, it’s baseball season! If you get to town early enough, they’ll be enjoying a homestand against the Houston Astros and Oakland Athletics from April 5-11. If not, we highly recommend the stadium tour as an opportunity to get your baseball fix.

The Rangers’ former home, now known as Choctaw Stadium, is across the street and is the residence of the United Football League’s Arlington Renegades. If football is your thing, they’ll be taking on the D.C. Defenders on April 13 at noon.

Check out the neighborhoods and districts that make up Fort Worth.

For those with a little more time, sporting events aside, heading over to nearby Arlington or Dallas would offer the opportunity to enjoy so many more aspects of the Texas experience.

Everyone has to eat, too, whether it’s something quick during a break from competition or a delicious team-building dining experience. Here’s a helpful map/guide to downtown dining in Fort Worth.
