The U.S. Finals: Louisville, being held at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, is part of a 12-event end-of-season extravaganza that allows teams to finish their seasons close to home and with another memorable experience together.
This is the second-to-last of the events. The final competition will take place on May 4 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The first four events are set for Galveston, Texas; Tacoma, Washington; Las Vegas; and Buffalo, New York; on April 6, while April 13 will see Pensacola, Florida; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Hoffman Estates, Illinois; and Des Moines, Iowa, get in on the action.
Three events are scheduled for April 20 – Worcester, Massachusetts; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Ocean City, Maryland.
By breaking up the U.S. Finals into multiple one-day events across many locations, teams can choose the date and location that work best for them.
Regardless of what they choose, Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event, and you won’t want to miss a minute of the action!
Competitors have earned their way to the U.S. Finals through their performances and success at other events, so this is the ultimate way to end the season.

What To Know About The Kentucky Expo Center
In 2024, The U.S. Finals: Louisville heads to the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, a venue that already is familiar with the cheer and dance world. Among the other events being held, there is the 2024 edition of One Up Grand Nationals, scheduled for April 6-7.
The Kentucky Expo Center may not be the only cheer-hosting venue in town (the Kentucky International Convention Center also hosts events), but it certainly aims to be the best, boasting 1.2 million square feet of meeting space, 56 meeting rooms, two arenas, 300 acres of outdoor space and decades of experience hosting events.
After a long building process, the venue finally opened in 1956. It took $12 million and six years of work.
In the years since the property has undergone many renovations and upgrades. It’s now the sixth-largest facility in the United States and home to the Kentucky State Fair and other important annual events.
The Kentucky Expo Center has welcomed many top musical acts over the years, was the longtime home of the University of Louisville men’s basketball team and continues to stay busy with a variety of trade shows and events.

Though the Kentucky Derby isn’t until the following weekend (May 4), it’s possible the town already may be Derby-crazy, which could be a lot of fun for those who have never experienced the annual horse race in person.
Louisville also is famous for bourbon and actually is called Bourbon City, and while certain aspects of that will be reserved for the parents, younger visitors can learn how bourbon helped shape the culture and energy of the city.

Louisville also has been an industrial hub and is home to many familiar institutions – the American Printing House for the Blind (publishes books in Braille), Louisville Slugger (baseball bats), the University of Louisville, and the annual Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
The area has been home to many influential men and women, including Thomas Edison, Muhammad Ali, John James Audubon, and Jennifer Lawrence.
With all that said, putting together a sightseeing itinerary for Louisville might be a fun challenge.
