What To Know About The NOW Arena

In 2024, the Nation’s Choice Dance Grand Championship & Cheer Showdown heads back to the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a facility that is versatile and familiar with hosting all kinds of sporting events, shows, concerts, and more, including the 2023 edition of the same Nation’s Choice competition.

The host facility opened in 2006 at the cost of $60 million and has welcomed countless events for nearly two decades. Since 2016, the venue also has been the home of the Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls.

The arena floor is 17,000 square feet, plus there’s another 8,000 square feet at the club level, a catering area, and a suite lounge.

It has flexible seating options to make sure the setup is ideal for whatever type of event comes to town – 3,000 to 6,000 seats for theater shows, 9,400 for football/hockey/lacrosse and soccer, 10,000 for basketball, and almost 12,000 for concerts.

There’s also parking for up to 4,700 vehicles, so everyone will be able to turn out to support the cheer and dance teams.

If a Chicago trip is a possibility, you won’t be disappointed. It’s one of the biggest, oldest and most diverse cities in the country – a ton of history and personality and some delicious food and drink.

If you’re a sports fan (and the sports history in Chicago runs deep), you’re in luck. Even though the Windy City Bulls will be out of town, the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks (Nov. 10) and NFL’s Chicago Bears (Nov. 10) will be in action. If you’re able to stick around one more day, the Chicago Bulls welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 11.

One must-visit spot is Navy Pier, and that’s a big part of Chicago’s identity, but the city also has countless museums and galleries, theatres, parks, some of the world’s tallest buildings, national monuments, historic buildings, diverse neighborhoods – and Cloud Gate, also known as “The Bean,” which is a gigantic metallic bean-shaped work of art that reflects the Chicago skyline and is a perfect spot for photos.
