The UCA Northeast Regional returns to the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, in 2024, and it will take over the familiar venue on Nov. 16.

It’s all part of a busy weekend that will include six UCA regional events across the United States, from the East Coast to Arizona.

The Northeast Regional is one of almost 50 regional events facilitated across the country each year by the Universal Cheerleaders Association, along with the annual UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

By having such a variety of events, teams are able to compete close to home and keep expenses down, while having the chance to qualify for the season-ending events. 

Enjoy complete coverage of the 2024 UCA Northeast Regional, a one-day event, as teams go head-to-head with their sights set on a coveted championship and potentially earning spots in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in February 2025.

This event also will offer a Bronze Bid to The Quest Recreational Championship, scheduled for March 7-8, 2025. It also will be held in Orlando.

What To Know About The CURE Insurance Arena

In 2024, the UCA Northeast Regional will be back at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.

The 250,000-square-foot facility can fit up to 10,000 people for concerts and shows, 9,000 for basketball, and 8,100 for hockey.

The arena opens its doors each year for a variety of events, including concerts by top recording artists, basketball, hockey, monster trucks, and more, having welcomed the likes of Cher, Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Justin Bieber, NCAA Division I women’s basketball and the Harlem Globetrotters in recent years.

In November 2024 alone, the Cure Insurance Arena will host four different cheerleading events!

The area is rich in history, much of which is celebrated in the New Jersey State Museum and a variety of attractions paying tribute to the soldiers and battles from/in New Jersey. 

Given the time of year, the weather may not be cooperative enough to venture outside, but there are plenty of indoor options to keep you busy when it’s not time to compete. Check out a variety of art, artifacts, a planetarium, theater, homes that belonged to influential residents, parks, shopping, outdoor activities, and great places to grab a bite to eat. 

New Jersey is known for having some incredible food, too. Some items are unique to the area, and some are the area’s spin on an old favorite. 

Get your fill of subs/hoagies, Taylor Ham/pork rolls, amazing tomatoes, cranberry-related snacks and foods, Italian hot dogs, seafood, pizza and tomato pie, salt water taffy – even crab cakes and clams.

If there’s a little more time to explore, Trenton is close to many other New Jersey cities and attractions, including the Jersey Shore, amusement parks, casinos, orchards, aquariums, and sporting events.

How To Watch The 2024 UCA Northeast Regional

The 2024 UCA Northeast Regional will stream LIVE on Varsity TV.
