The 2024 ASC Battle Under the Big Top Grand Nationals, one of 13 events on the 2024-2025 All Star Challenge calendar, visits the Atlanta area, marking the fourth competition of the season.
Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event.
The competition will take place at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, Georgia.
All Star Challenge events bring together sports and theater, with competitors encouraged to put on a show – be creative and entertaining, while finding the perfect balance between the technical aspects of cheer and dance and a crowd-wowing presentation.

What To Know About The Georgia International Convention Center
The ASC Battle Under the Big Top Grand Nationals travels to College Park, Georgia, and the Georgia International Convention Center in 2024, the city and venue both will be familiar to some competitors, as the Atlanta area has become a hotspot for cheerleading activity.
Despite being such a large metropolitan area, the Atlanta/College Park area is incredibly easy to navigate.
The convention center is less than a mile from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It’s actually is so close to the GICC that participants and guests can get to the venue by car or by the free ATL SkyTrain, as the two locations are connected.
Once at Georgia’s newest and second-largest convention center, visitors will see more than 300,000 square feet of space, more than 7,000 nearby hotel rooms, and top-of-the-line accommodations and technology.

The same crew that keeps the GICC filled and running smoothly also operates the Gateway Center Arena, a 5,000-seat venue that hosts sporting events, concerts, shows, graduation conventions, and more.
The arena is the home of the Atlanta Dream, a professional women’s basketball tea,m and the College Park Skyhawks, the G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that the College Park Skyhawks or Atlanta Hawks will be in town during the weekend of the cheer event, and the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons will be on the road to face the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Varsity Cheer League
The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The Varsity Cheer League.
Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.
One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
