DanceFest Grand Nationals heads back to the Milwaukee area in 2025, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event from Milwaukee’s Baird Center on Jan. 10-11.

The venue will be familiar for some, while newcomers will get to enjoy one of the top cities and facilities in the Midwest.

The event will feature two days of competition, with solos, duos, and trios performances happening Friday, and team dance performances taking place Saturday. 

DanceFest is committed to inclusiveness (with recognition for every team) and focused on helping all competitors grow and develop while paving the way for the next generation of dancers. 

The organization aims for a family-friendly environment and a fair, competitive experience.

What To Know About Baird Center

DanceFest Grand Nationals is back in the Milwaukee area and Baird Center in 2025, though there’s a much longer history in the Badger State, with the event previously being held at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Opened in 1998, Baird Center is a focal point of downtown Milwaukee and has become known as an architectural and innovative marvel. 

Baird Center now includes nearly 300,000 square feet of uninterrupted exhibit space, a sizeable ballroom, and 52 meeting rooms, along with the Miller High Life Theatre, which can seat about 4,100 guests, and the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, home to the UW-Milwaukee men’s basketball team, the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals, Major League Soccer’s Milwaukee Wave and an amateur roller derby squad, the Brewcity Bruisers.

Never satisfied, Baird Center recently underwent a $456 million expansion, with a focus on becoming certified as a sensory-inclusive venue.
