The Cheer Power Cash Bash Showdown – Galveston is headed back to the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston, Texas, again in 2025, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event on Jan. 11-12.

American Cheer Power has been putting on championship events across the country for more than three decades. Competitors have grown to love the themes and unique awards, coaches appreciate the top-quality events and parents even get involved, making it fun for the whole family.

Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as All Star teams from Division I and Division II go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining points to The Varsity Cheer League by Varsity All Star and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The Moody Gardens Convention Center

Moody Gardens is an all-in-one location for events, entertainment, lodging, dining, and more, and it has become a regular destination for top-tier cheer events, giving competitors and their guests a complete experience, rather than just a weekend of competition.

The property has grown exponentially since being introduced in 1986 as a horse-riding area with a hippotherapy riding program, and the Moody Gardens Hotel Spa and Convention Center is just one small piece of the expansive campus along Hope Boulevard.

Among the things to keep visitors busy are a beach, a variety of educational opportunities, greenhouses, a water treatment plant, Rainforest Pyramid with exotic plants, Discovery Pyramid with science exhibits, Aquarium Pyramid with aquatic attractions and aquatic animals and fish, theaters, golf course, a ropes course and many other displays and attractions to keep the whole family busy.

• 10 At-Large Bids to The D2 Summit
• 5 At-Large Bids to The Youth Summit
• Top 3 teams in eligible divisions will earn an At-Large Bid to The Regional Summit
• 5 At-Large Bids to The Recreational Summit
• Top 3 teams in bid-eligible divisions will earn a Qualified Bid to The Quest
• Golden Tickets to the U.S. Finals

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. 

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
