We're closing out the year in the best way possible with some incredible all star cheerleading at the 2024 CHAMPS Grand Nationals in Aurora, Colorado! We are down to the final competition weekend before heading into the New Year, and this event is sure to be loaded with action. All eyes will be on stage as a few reigning World Champions & Summit champions take the stage. Additionally, some programs are eager to take the stage for their first event of the season.

2024 CHAMPS Grand Nationals: What To Look Out For
First Look at University Cheer Force - Firestorm
If you want an exciting Level 6 team to watch this weekend, look no further than right here at the 2024 CHAMPS Grand Nationals in the L6 Limited Small Coed division! University Cheer Force Firestorm is set to take the stage on Saturday at 3:01 PM, and Sunday at 12:42 PM. Firestorm is a team that the cheer community is very eager to see after winning back-to-back World Championships in the L6 Limited Small Coed division! In their four events last season, they racked up 2275 points on The League 6 Coed Leaderboard for The League by Varsity All Star. Steele Athletics Denver Guns & Roses is also set to take the stage this weekend in the L6 Limited Small Coed division. Keep your eyes peeled to this division to see how both teams do!
The Fan Favorites from Cheer Athletics - Denver
31 teams from Cheer Athletics - Denver are set to take the stage this weekend at the 2024 CHAMPS Grand Nationals making it a paw party for sure!! There's a few fan-favorite teams that the cheer community is eager to see, including the 2024 World Champions of Cheer Athletics - Denver Black Ice in the L6 U18 Non-Tumbling division! Also keep your eyes on Cheer Athletics Denver - Lady Suns in the L6 Senior - XSmall division! Lady Suns had an awesome run last season finishing in 4th place at the NCA All-Star National Championship, 3rd place at The MAJORS and 4th place at the USASF Cheerleading Worlds. Cheer Athletics - Denver is representing across the board at nearly every level from Tiny PREP teams, to Level 6 worlds level divisions!
California Pride - Summit Champions Back In Action
California Pride is one of those programs that is on the rise! Last season, California Pride had 6 teams compete at The Summit Championships with every single team earning a full paid bid! They ended up taking home four Summit Championships, one silver medal and another Top 10 finish! They originally started out as a D2 gym, worked their way up, won D2 Summit Championships, became a D1 gym for the 2022 season and won Summit Championships in their very first D1 season. Three teams are set to take the stage this weekend including Magnitude, Drought and Breeze, Breeze is the reigning Summit Champions in the L5 Senior Coed - Small division, and Magnitude finished in 2nd Place in the L3 Junior - Medium division.
The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.
Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
