Everything you need to know to watch the 2025 GSSA Grand Nationals on Varsity TV on Jan. 10-12.
The Golden State Spirit Association Grand Nationals will visit the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, California, in 2025, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event on Jan. 10-12.
Friday’s action will include only a dance competition, while the cheer champions will be determined on Saturday and Sunday.
The GSSA was founded in 1999 and has grown into a premier organization in the Western Region, giving top-tier events and performance and scholarship opportunities to cheerleaders and dancers from the West Coast.

What To Know About The SAFE Credit Union Convention Center
The SAFE Credit Union Convention Center is part of the SAFE Credit Union Convention & Performing Arts District, which is the centerpiece of Sacramento.
The complex includes the convention center, SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center, and the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
The convention is a new construction, opened in 2021, that brings 240,000 square feet of customizable indoor and outdoor space that now will help Sacramento become a celebrated event destination.
The original Sacramento Convention Center, built in 1974, underwent an extensive renovation and expansion that started in 2019. The project included tearing down the original convention center and building it bigger and more modern.

The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The Varsity Cheer League.
Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.
One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
