A busy January 2025 for the National Cheerleaders Association rolls through the Atlanta area for two days of All Star cheer competition at the 2025 NCA Atlanta Classic.
Division I teams will get the spotlight at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, Georgia on Saturday, while Division II teams get their shot at glory on Sunday.
It’s all part of a busy schedule that includes almost two dozen events that will bring All Star cheerleading from Texas to the East Coast and back again from November through April.
Since 1948, NCA has been on the cutting edge of all things competitive cheerleading and lived by the motto “The Work Is Worth It.”
For more than 75 years, the organization has been focused on competition, camps/instruction and philanthropy, all geared toward helping participants become the best cheerleaders, leaders and people they can become.

What To Know About The Georgia International Convention Center
The NCA Atlanta Classic is back at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, Georgia, less than a mile from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The airport is so close to the GICC that participants and guests can get to the venue by car or by the free ATL SkyTrain, as the two locations are connected.
Once at Georgia’s newest and second-largest convention center, visitors will see more than 300,000 square feet of space, more than 7,000 nearby hotel rooms, and top-of-the-line accommodations and technology.

The team that runs the GICC also operates the Gateway Center Arena, a 5,000-seat venue that hosts sporting events, concerts, shows, graduation conventions, and more.
The Gateway Center Arena is the home of the Atlanta Dream, a professional women’s basketball team and the College Park Skyhawks, the G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks. The Skyhawks will be at home Jan. 22-23 to host the Grand Rapids Gold, but the Dream don’t start playing until May.
Things To Do In The Atlanta Area
Georgia’s capital city has a rich history that began in the 1830s, when the area was connected to the Midwest via railroad, and that’s just part of the history and culture celebrated in museums and galleries around the area.
Atlanta has a zoo, aquarium, gardens, galleries, many professional sports teams – it’s even the headquarter city for CNN (news channel) and the Coca-Cola Company. Tour of both HQs would be great additions to any agenda.

The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The Varsity Cheer League.
Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.
One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
