Insider Info: 2025 CHEERSPORT Friday Night Live

Once again, CHEERSPORT Friday Night Live will be part of the festivities surrounding the CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship, and the events will head to the Atlanta area from Feb. 14-16.

The latter will be the main event over the weekend, but things officially will kick off Friday (Feb. 14) with the 2025 edition of Friday Night Live.

All of the action will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of it all!

The special event, Friday Night Live, gives teams the opportunity to perform for a good cause, as the competition helps raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. This year marks the 10th year of the CHEERSPORT-St. Jude’s partnership.

Since 2015, CHEERSPORT has helped raise $1.1 million, which goes toward providing treatment, travel, housing and food for St. Jude families dealing with childhood cancer.

For the cheer teams that raise the most money, there will be special recognition.

CHEERSPORT was founded in 1993 by All Star coaches who loved competitive cheerleading and wanted to put their own spin on competition. Their ultimate goal is to exceed the expectations of everyone involved.

Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as talented cheer teams come together for a valuable cause and a memorable experience for all involved.

What To Know About The Georgia World Congress Center

CHEERSPORT is headed back to Atlanta and the Georgia World Congress Center, and the two-event weekend will start with the 2025 edition of CHEERSPORT Friday Night Live, which will benefit St. Jude.

The GWCC is located in downtown Atlanta and provides 1.5 million square feet of exhibit space, which allows for flexibility in hosting a variety of events. It opened in 1976 and has been through three expansions – 1985, 1992 and 2002 – to keep up with growth and demands.

The venue now has a dozen exhibit halls in all, two ballrooms, three auditoriums, nearly 100 meeting rooms, landscaped outdoor spaces and approximately 7,000 parking spaces.

The convention center is just a piece of an expansive campus overseen by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority.

The campus spans more than 220 acres and also includes Centennial Olympic Park (from the 1996 Summer Olympic Games) and Mercedez-Benz Stadium (home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United).

An on-site hotel, the Signia by Hilton Atlanta, celebrated its official grand opening in January 2024.
