Southwest Programs Hit The Ground Running in 2025
Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri.... those are just a few of the states that will be represented this weekend at ACA Grand Nationals as some of the top programs come together in hopes of being crowned National Champions! This competition marks one of the first big opportunities of the New Year for these programs! A lot is on the line from points to The League by Varsity All Star, to a great opportunity to start off strong and build momentum heading into the busy time of the season! Given their location, many of these programs continue to compete against each other all season long at several competition stops along the way! Many of them are also going head to head in the Southwest region divisions for The League by Varsity All Star.
Getting Those Reps In!
It's now January which means the busy time of the competition season is in full swing! As teams take the stage at these big-time competitions, they continue to gain more confidence with each routine! ACA Grand Nationals will showcase several programs who are competing at their second or even third competition of the season already. It's exciting to follow along with these programs at each competition to see who might be adding more difficulty to their routines, who's locked in on those reps to hit zero, and to see how scores continue to change with each routine that's performed. The Woodlands Elite program as a whole will take the stage this weekend for their third competition of the season. Stars Vipers Hiss & Cobra Kai are taking the competition stage for the third time, along with Cheers & More Lady Respect.
First Look At Champion Cheer Heat
In their home state, we will get the chance to see Champion Cheer Heat take the stage this weekend for the first time this season! After a successful 2023-2024 season, Champion Cheer Heat is back in action, yet we don't really know what they'll be bringing to the table just yet! That makes this competition an exciting opportunity for Heat to put out a great routine! Heat had an incredible run in the L6 Limited Senior Small division taking wins at USA All Star Super Nationals, ACA Grand Nationals, and a silver globe at The USASF Cheerleading Worlds. Keep an eye on Champion Cheer Heat at ACA Grand Nationals to see how they will do stepping into the L6 Limited Senior XSmall division this season.
The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.
Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
