The Dance MAJORS is headed back to Louisville, Kentucky, and again will be part of one of the biggest dance weekends of the year.
The Kentucky International Convention Center will be rockin’ Feb. 7-9, thanks to best of the best in high-level dance competition coming to town.
Launched in 2023, in conjunction with JAMfest Dance Super Nationals (which is being held at the KICC from Feb. 7-9), the Dance MAJORS offers qualifying teams from the Senior/Open age groups another grand stage to showcase their skills and talent.
In the Dance MAJORS, there are no divisions or categories – just head-to-head competition and one champion! It has been dubbed the most exclusive invitational competition in All Star dance.
Teams are selected for The Dance MAJORS based on performances at other recent competitions.

What To Know About The Kentucky International Convention Center
The Dance MAJORS heads back to downtown Louisville, Kentucky, and the familiar Kentucky International Convention Center in 2025.
A few years ago, the KICC underwent a $207 million, two-year renovation that turned it into a focal point of downtown Louisville, which is less than 7 miles from the airport.
The facility now includes 950,000 square feet of space (more than 200,000 square feet of exhibit space), dozens of meeting rooms, a column-free ballroom, conference theater, lighting that reflects the local culture, upgraded catering capabilities and multi-purpose café.
Parking, restaurants, entertainment and hotels (more than 6,000 rooms) are within walking distance of the convention center, and the area is bustling with activities, shows, museums, distilleries and incredible food.

It’s likely that many of the competitors and their guests in town for The Dance MAJORS 2025 will be familiar with Louisville, Kentucky, and all the area has to offer.
The good news is that there’s way more to do and eat than one family can experience in a single visit, so even if they’ve been there before, there will be undiscovered things to enjoy. Or, they can revisit the things and places they enjoyed in the past.

Louisville also has been an industrial hub and is home to many familiar institutions – the American Printing House for the Blind (publishes of books in Braille), Louisville Slugger (baseball bats), the University of Louisville and the annual Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
