The American Open Orlando Nationals is back in Orlando, Florida, and will take place at the South Concourse of the vast Orange County Convention Center.

Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event March 1-2.

The American Championships experience is about providing a top-notch experience for competitors, fans and judges, and the staff accomplishes that by working just as hard as the competitors.

Extra attention is given to creating the warm-up and competition areas, spectators being able to have a good view is a priority and there are state-of-the-art tools for the judges.

What To Know About The Orange County Convention Center

If you’re looking for an escape from the cold winter weather, the 2025 edition of The American Open Orlando Nationals offers the perfect opportunity to head south and enjoy some sunshine, while also going up against some top-tier competition.

The event will take place at the South Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center, and that will provide a premier facility in an amazing and family-friendly location.

The Orange County Convention Center averages nearly 200 events each year and welcomes more than 1.5 million visitors. For all those folks, there are more than 23,000 parking spots and almost 10,000 hotel rooms within walking distance.

The facility includes 7 million square feet of space across two buildings – the West Building and North-South Building. Both feature exhibit space, meeting rooms, breakout rooms and thousands of parking spaces. The West Building also has a ballroom, theatre and lecture hall. Each building has four food courts for hungry guests.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star.

Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. 

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
