The Great Lakes Championship Company Grand Nationals heads back to the Midwest and Schaumburg, Illinois, in 2025, with the Schaumburg Convention Center again playing host to All Star cheer and dance teams.

Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event March 8-9.

The rock ‘n’ roll theme at the GLCC Grand Nationals with make the competition look as much like a music festival as a top-tier cheer and dance event. 

Athletes will feel like rock stars, and costumes are encouraged, too.

Dance and cheer teams will share the stage Saturday, while the spotlight will belong entirely to the cheerleaders on Sunday.

What To Know About The Schaumburg Convention Center 

When GLCC Grand Nationals returns the Schaumburg Convention Center in 2025, it will be familiar territory for some of the competitors and their supporters, while others may get to enjoy the Chicagoland area for the first time. 

The Schaumburg Convention Center features almost 150,000 square feet of exhibition space, meeting rooms and the flexibility to host any type of event. It’s also connected to a 500-room hotel, which is convenient for competitors and their families.

The venue is close to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and 26 miles from downtown Chicago. That means traveling in and out should be no problem, and visitors will be able to enjoy both the quiet suburbs and historic Chicago proper, if time allows.

The convention center/hotel combo is extra convenient, and there’s even a few food and drink options on-site. It all keeps things simple, so the athletes can focus on the competition.

March in the Midwest can be tricky, but regardless of the weather, get out there and enjoy some fresh air.

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. 

Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. 

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
