What To Know About The Vancouver Convention Centre

One of Canada’s largest venues, the Vancouver Convention Centre, will welcome waves of cheer teams back to British Columbia again in 2025 for the latest edition of the Sea to Sky International Cheer Championship

The convention center is located on the Vancouver waterfront and surrounded by the freshest air and picturesque views. It got its start during the World’s Fair Expo in 1986 and has grown in the years since.

The property now consists of two main buildings – East and West – offering more than 466,000 square feet of space for any kind of event, and the venue stays busy, hosting more than 500 events each year.

The Vancouver Convention Centre sounds pretty amazing – Canada’s largest waterfront ballroom, ceilings that are five stories high, open terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows.

During the 2010 Winter Olympics, the main media center was set up at the Vancouver Convention Centre, which allowed the press to share the happenings of the Olympics with more than 3 billion people around the world.

The convention center still has an amazing display that celebrates the role of the city and venue in the success of the 2010 Olympics.
