The end of the 2024-2025 competitive cheer and dance season is drawing near, and it’s time for the series of events known as The U.S. Finals, which will bring top cheer and dance teams to a variety of locations around the United States for one final shot at memories – and glory!

One of those events – 10 in all in 2025 – is The U.S. Finals: Chicago, set for April 5, with all of the action being broadcast live on Varsity TV.

By having the competitions all over the country, it allows teams that qualified the opportunity to finish their seasons together close to home.

This year, the Chicago event will be held at the McCormick Place West Building near downtown Chicago.

By breaking up the U.S. Finals into multiple one-day events across many locations, teams have the ability to choose the date and location that work best for them.

The Chicago competition is one of three events scheduled for April 5, the first of four weekends of fun. The other opening-weekend events will be in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Tacoma, Washington.

Three more locations will host events on April 12 – Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Des Moines, Iowa; and Galveston, Texas.

On April 26, competitions are scheduled for Worcester, Massachusetts; Trenton, New Jersey; and Louisville, Kentucky.

The final event of the season will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on May 3.

Competitors have earned their way to The U.S. Finals through their performances and success at other events this season, so this is the ultimate way to wrap up the competitive calendar.

Take this opportunity to watch your favorite Division I and Division II cheer and dance teams take the stage looking to end their seasons in the most memorable way!

The U.S. Finals are open to All Star Elite Cheer, All Star Dance, Prep, Novice, CheerABILITIES, DanceABILITIES, Youth/Rec and International Division Cheer teams (U.S. teams only).

What To Know About The McCormick Place West Building

In 2025, The U.S. Finals: Chicago heads back to Illinois, but this edition will take place at Chicago’s McCormick Place West Building.

The West Building is part of the expansive McCormick Place, which is one of the country’s premier convention centers.

The venue is versatile, convenient for travelers, state-of-the-art and ideally located, so guests also can enjoy a nice little vacation in the Windy City, if time allows.

The lakefront McCormick Place is close to downtown Chicago and features more than 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. The campus is made up of four main buildings (Lakeside Center, North Building, South Building, West Building), collectively being able to host almost any kind of event.

The West Building is five levels and even includes a rooftop garden. The main hall in this building offers 470,000 square feet of exhibit space, while there also are many meeting rooms, a ballroom that’s 100,000 square feet and plenty of room to hang out between performances.
