The U.S. Finals: Tacoma heads back to the Greater Tacoma Convention Center in Tacoma, Washington, for another run in 2025. 

It’s all part of a 10-event end-of-season extravaganza that allows teams to finish their seasons close to home. This is one of three events scheduled for April 5, and Varsity TV will be there with live coverage of the entire competition! 

By breaking up the U.S. Finals into multiple one-day events across many locations, teams have the ability to choose the date and location that work best for them. 

Competitors have earned their way to the U.S. Finals through their performances and success at other events, so this is the ultimate way to end the season. 

The other two events on the opening weekend of The U.S. Finals will be in Chicago and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 

Week 2 (April 12) will see action head to Des Moines, Iowa; Galveston, Texas; and Fort Walton Beach, Florida; followed by Trenton, New Jersey; Worcester, Massachusetts; and Louisville, Kentucky; on April 26. The final event will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on May 3.

The U.S. Finals are open to All Star Elite Cheer, All Star Dance, Prep, Novice, CheerABILITIES, DanceABILITIES, Youth/Rec and International Division Cheer teams (U.S. teams only).

What To Know About The Tacoma Convention Center

The Greater Tacoma Convention Center in Tacoma, Washington, again will play host to The U.S. Finals: Tacoma in 2025, so returning competitors and their guests will be in familiar territory and have the opportunity revisit all the things they loved about the area. 

The venue is just over 21 miles from the SeaTac Airport and downtown Seattle, giving competitors and their guests the opportunity to explore and enjoy many great aspects of the Pacific Northwest. 

The convention center features 50,000 square feet of uninterrupted exhibit space, a large ballroom/meeting space and more than 42,000 additional square feet of event space, along with an attached 300-room hotel.

Within walking distance are nearly 1,000 more hotel rooms and all the things visitors would hope to find while away for business or vacation – museums, shopping, food and drink options, art galleries, entertainment and more.

Things To Do In Tacoma, Washington

The Pacific Northwest is known for its amazing views and scenery, consistent weather, diverse culture and incredible food. That’s a lot of adjectives, but the area won’t disappoint. 

There are many free or budget-friendly things to do when not at the convention center, including a variety of museums and parks, the Port of Tacoma’s observation deck, trails for skating/walking/biking – even a saltwater beach at Kopachuck State Park.

Washington State and its coast are great spots for seafood and chowder, sushi – even hot dogs, as the area has its own spin on the old favorite. A Seattle dog comes with a not-so-secret ingredient on it – cream cheese!
