The Northeast Regional Summit is part of The Regional Summit Championships – one of five regional events, actually – joining the West, Southwest, Southeast and Midwest competitions, which are being held across two weekends in April. 

For The Northeast Regional Summit, athletes and their guests will return to the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event April 12-13.

Throughout each season, All Star teams in eligible divisions can earn bids to the Regional Summit events. By having multiple competitions, teams are able to compete for the title of Regional Summit champion as close to home as possible.

What To Know About The Baltimore Convention Center

The Northeast Regional Summit returns to Baltimore and the Baltimore Convention Center in 2025, so many athletes and their guests will get the chance to revisit some of their favorite things about the area.

The venue, which opened in 1979 and was expanded in 1996, features 300,000 square feet of exhibition space, 50 meeting rooms, a multifunctional ballroom, catering and audio-visual services. It hosts more than 125 events each year.

The convention center is part of such a lively area – downtown, Baltimore Inner Harbor, Camden Yards (home of the Baltimore Orioles), thousands of hotel rooms, hundreds of restaurants, the beautiful waterfront and more.

Things To Do In Baltimore

The history of Baltimore spans hundreds of years, so it’s the perfect opportunity for a cheer fan/history buff to have a well-rounded trip. Guest also should expect some amazing spring weather and the always-delicious local food scene. 

Some competitors may have been to town earlier in the year when being outside wasn’t the No. 1 way to pass the time when not on stage, so returning now will offer a whole new list of things to do and enjoy, including one or two of the countless outdoor and waterfront activities around Baltimore. 

Visit Baltimore’s Inner Harbor for some history, incredible views, shopping, museums and delicious seafood. 

From sightseeing tours to the waterfront to walking in the footsteps of some of the nation’s most influential men and women, enjoy the opportunity to dive into the area’s history.

The Baltimore area also boasts a variety of diverse neighborhood. There are many great markets and food halls, museums, galleries and live sporting events, including the Baltimore Orioles, who WILL be in town the same weekend as The Northwest Regional Summit and hosting the Toronto Blue Jays.
