The 2025-2026 All Star cheer season is almost here, which means we're getting closer to kicking off Season 4 of The Varsity Cheer League! Each year of The Varsity Cheer League has brought more & more excitement. Teams go back to the drawing board each year to figure out the best way to maximize their competition schedule in hopes of climbing to the top of The Leaderboard. Our next team to keep an eye on this season is Woodlands Elite Generals, a team that has finished in the top five every season so far in The Varsity Cheer League! Generals shook up the cheer world this off-season as they announced the big news that they were making the move to the L6 Senior Large division. They might be changing divisions, but that still doesn't change their competitiveness in the League 6 All Girl Conference where they'll go head to head with all teams in Level 6 All Girl divisions. 

2025-2026 League 6 Teams To Watch: Woodlands Elite Generals

Woodlands Elite Generals has cemented themselves as a well-recognized name when it comes to the Varsity Cheer League. Generals was one of the first teams to make history in the Varsity Cheer League finishing in the inaugural season as the highest scoring overall team with 3,000 points. Each year, they've finished with a higher overall total of points, meaning they've found a way to continue to maximize their points from comeptitions all season long. Here's a look at Woodlands Elite Generals performance the last three seasons in the Varsity Cheer League:

• 2024-2025 - 5th Place with 3,623 points 
• 2023-2024 - 5th Place with 3,544 points 
• 2022-2023 - 1st Place in National Race with 3,000 points, 1st Place in Southwest Region with 3,000 points. 

This last season, Generals picked up first place wins at some early events in the season which helped them get a head start on the Leaderboard. They had early points from events like Spirit Celebration Christmas Grand Nationals, Encore Grand Nationals and ACA Grand Nationals. They also took home a big win at CHEERSPORT Nationals where they secured 700 points. Woodlands Elite has a great strategy with those early competitions to kick off their season, so expect to see the entire program pick up some early points again this upcoming season to get ahead. 

Be sure to have the entire L6 Senior Large division circled on your event schedules this upcoming season as it is guaranteed to be an amazing show. We're looking forward to seeing what Woodlands Elite Generals brings to the division this season. You can always expect Generals to wow the crowd with their powerhouse tumbling. 

Woodlands Elite Generals is a strong League 6 All Girl contender to keep an eye on after three very successful seasons in the Varsity Cheer League. The same can be said for the entire Woodlands Elite program across the Leaderboard. Last season, Woodlands Elite had a team take a win in every single D1 Southwest race in the Varsity Cheer League. That clean sweep shows that the entire program knows how to make it count! We're eager to see if Woodlands Elite can do it again this season.
