The start of a new all star cheer season marks a new opportunity for teams to make an impact in the Varsity Cheer League. The suspense is real when waiting to see who will be in that top spot when the first edition of the leaderboard drops in early January! One of the most exciting features of the Varsity Cheer League is that teams in each conference go head-to-head with teams who might not necessarily be in the same division. Teams get the opportunity to see how they fare with teams from all divisions - xsmall, small, medium & large! One team that showed they are capable of hanging with the best of the best has been Spirit Athletics Spice from the L6 Limited XSmall division in the League 6 All Girl conference. 2025-2026 League 6 Teams To Watch: Spirit Athletics Spice

Last season, Spirit Athletics Spice finished in 11th place on the League 6 All Girl leaderboard. However, this team was the highest scoring D2 team in the League 6 All Girl conference which is a great accomplishment! Spirit Athletics Spice has been very consistent the last two seasons. In fact, they have finished in 11th place the last two seasons. Here's a look at their final placements in the League 6 All Girl the last two years: 

• 2024-2025: 11th Place - 3,397 points 
• 2023-2024: 11th Place - 3,275 points 

Some of their standout moments from last season included a big win at USA All Star Cheer Super Nationals where they brought home 700 points, a second place finish at CHEERSPORT Nationals for 675 points, a first place win at The American Showcase for 500 points and a second place finish at Spirit Sports Grand Nationals for 574 points. CHEERSPORT Nationals was a strong weekend for Spice where two solid performances earned them a second place finish out of 10 teams. They also kicked off the weekend with a special performance at Friday Night Live. 

Keep an eye out for Spirit Athletics Spice at events all over the West Coast like GSSA Grand Nationals, The American Grand - Grand Nationals and Spirit Sports Grand Nationals. After a strong & successful 2024-2025 season, Spirit Athletics Spice is hoping to build off of that momentum. They have a great group of athletes returning to the mat this season and have put in lots of hard work this summer.
