Varsity TV is headed back over the border again in 2026 and will be at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, on Jan. 24-25 to provide live coverage of the 2026 edition of Feel The Power, which will include the best cheer teams Canada has to offer.

The event is run by Varsity Spirit Canada, which works throughout the year to provide competitive platforms and top-tier events for athletes across Canada.

FTP is one of four Varsity Spirit Canada events taking place in The Great White North this season, with one each month from January through April.

Enjoy complete coverage of the competition, as standout teams go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The CAA Centre

The CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, has become an annual host for Feel The Power, and that will be true again in 2026, when the venue opens its doors for the region’s top All Star cheer teams.

Though the facility is a hockey-forward destination, there always seems to be a warm welcome for FTP and the its competitors.

The multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex opened in 1998 and features four NHL-size hockey rinks, with seating for more than 5,000 around one, and a 250-seat restaurant that overlooks the three community rinks.

The hockey resources are used for leagues, training, schools and recreation. There’s even a hockey pro shop on-site. Since 2024, the venue has been home to the Brampton Steelheads, a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League.

When hockey isn’t happening, the facility opens to graduations, worship events, trade shows, film shoots, sporting events, concerts and professional basketball (Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League) – all of which draws more than 1.2 million visitors.

In November 2022, it was announced that with the closing of the FirstOntario Centre (home of the 2023 Feel The Power event) in nearby Hamilton, Ontario, for renovations, the Honey Badgers and FTP would move to Brampton and the CAA Centre.

Rather than be displaced for the two years it would take for the renovations, the team, which won the league title in 2022, made the move permanent. The CEBL season traditionally begins in May.

The CAA Centre complex also is home to the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame, which was founded in 1979 and recognizes athletes who shined in their respective sports during the time they resided in Brampton.
