San Antonio hosts back-to-back cheer events at Freeman Coliseum once again, and the 2026 NCA South Texas Regional takes the mat Nov. 1, one day after the Cheer Power San Antonio Halloween Challenge — and all of the action streams live on Varsity TV.

The regional features school teams, recreational teams, game day performances and mascot competitions, with participants vying for early-season championships and qualifying opportunities toward the marquee national championships later in the 2026-2027 season.

About Freeman Coliseum

Built in 1949, Freeman Coliseum provides 32,000 square feet of event space with 10,000 parking spaces.

The venue formerly hosted the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and the San Antonio Spurs (now at Frost Bank Center), and its flexibility accommodates sporting events, concerts, rodeos and trade shows. The adjacent Freeman Exhibition Hall adds another 170,000 square feet for activities.
