Aloha, Louisiana!

The capital city will be expecting a wave of cheer teams, as the 2026 Aloha Louisiana Showdown takes over the Raising Cane's River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Nov. 14 — and you can catch all of the action live on Varsity TV.

The UCA Baton Rouge Regional follows at the same venue on Nov. 15, making it a full weekend of cheer in downtown Baton Rouge.

Since its founding in 2001, Aloha Spirit and the Aloha Spirit Championships have been bringing a little bit of Hawaii to cities across the United States — and if there's anything that can rival a Mardi Gras parade, it just might be an authentic Hawaiian luau.

At the luau-themed events, there is an emphasis on "Ohana" or family, and even the awards share the same sentiment.

Another special feature of each event is the KA MAHALO Award, a 3-foot custom trophy given to the team that exemplifies the spirit of the islands and displays above-and-beyond sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Enjoy complete coverage, as All Star cheer teams go head-to-head with their sights set on points in The Varsity Cheer League and bids to the prestigious end-of-season championships — including wild card bids to The Summit, The D2 Summit, and The Youth Summit, qualifying spots for The Regional Summit and The Quest, bids to The Recreational Summit and Golden Tickets to The U.S. Finals.

There will be 300 points up for grabs at the 2026 Aloha Louisiana Showdown.

What To Know About The Raising Cane's River Center

The expansive downtown Baton Rouge property includes three venues: a convention center with a grand ballroom and exhibition hall offering more than 200,000 square feet of versatile space, a 1,700-seat theatre for the performing arts and a 10,000-seat arena — all just steps from the Mississippi River.

Things To Do In Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge is the perfect mix of Southern hospitality and Creole and Cajun flair, with museums, a zoo, the campuses of LSU and Southern University, music venues and airboat swamp tours.

The food scene alone is worth the trip — boudin balls, crawfish, gumbo, jambalaya, beignets and po-boys. And, if time allows, New Orleans is only an hour away!
