The Aloha Spirit season returns to New Jersey's capital city, as the 2026 Aloha Trenton Showdown brings All Star cheer teams back to the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton on Nov. 21, with the action streaming live on Varsity TV.
At each Aloha Spirit event, competitors, staff and guests keep the island spirit alive with Hawaiian attire, a luau theme and the look and feel of our nation's 50th state.
Since 2001, Aloha Spirit events have been bringing a bit of Hawaiian flair to competitions across the country, with an emphasis on "Ohana" — family — that even extends to the awards.
Another special feature of every Aloha event is the KA MAHALO Award, a 3-foot custom trophy given to the team that exemplifies the spirit of the islands and displays above-and-beyond sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Enjoy complete coverage, as teams in both Division I and Division II go head-to-head with their sights set on points in The Varsity Cheer League (400) and bids to the prestigious end-of-season championships, including wild card bids to The Summit, The D2 Summit and The Youth Summit, qualifying spots for The Regional Summit and The Quest, bids to The Recreational Summit and Golden Tickets to The U.S. Finals.
About The CURE Insurance Arena
The 250,000-square-foot facility can flex to fit any kind of event — up to 10,000 people for concerts and shows, 9,000 for basketball, and 8,100 for hockey — and has welcomed everyone from Bruce Springsteen and Justin Bieber to NCAA Division I women's basketball and the Harlem Globetrotters.
Trenton itself briefly served as the capital of the United States in 1784 and has been New Jersey's capital since 1790, with museums, history and East Coast eats — from tomato pie to Taylor Ham — all around town.
