The UCA & UDA Smoky Mountain Championship returns Dec. 5-6, as cheer and dance teams take the mat at the Sevierville Convention Center in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Set in the foothills of the Smokies, this early-December stop is a favorite for school programs looking to sharpen their routines before championship season — and every performance streams live on Varsity TV.

The Smoky Mountain Championship carries the UCA and UDA banners, meaning teams get championship-caliber judging on the same style of scoring that awaits at nationals.

Last season's results tracked raw scores, deductions and performance scores across every division, giving coaches a detailed read on where their routines stand.

Who Will Be Competing At The 2026 UCA & UDA Smoky Mountain Championship?

Based on last season's field, the 2026 championship is expected to feature divisions across the school and rec spirit landscape — Traditional Rec teams from 8-and-under through 18, Junior High and Junior Varsity squads and Varsity divisions in Small, Medium, Large, Super and Coed configurations, including Intermediate, Non Tumbling and Game Day categories.

Dance teams round out the weekend under the UDA banner.

Game Day divisions have become a signature of this event, putting crowd-leading skills, band chants and sideline energy front and center alongside traditional show cheer routines.
