The world will be watching as 151 high school dance teams burn up the stage in what's been called the most competitive dance competition in the world - the NDA National Championship. Teams from coast-to-coast have been preparing for this moment -- a chance to showcase their skill, passion and technique, in hopes of taking home a hard-earned national title.
 
Who will shine, who will wow and WHO will have what it takes to become one of America's top high school dance teams?
 
There will be no shortage of talent this weekend, that's for sure. But you absolutely won't want to miss the teams that always pack the house at show time. In alphabetical order, here are the 9 must-see teams of 2016, with a championship history to prove it.

Fukui Commercial High School | Fukui, Japan
As if their synchronization and timing isn't impressive enough, this team always brings so much energy to the stage. Fans love their fresh, unique take on dance styles.

Hialeah Gardens High School | Hialeah Gardens, FL
When you hear their name you know it's going to be good. From creative costumes, to memorable style, this team has it all.

Lake Central High School | St. John, IN
A large varsity jazz legend, Lake Central is known for routines that tell a story and evoke emotion.

Lake Mary High School | Lake Mary, FL
Known for their kick routines, Lake Mary performs some of the most difficult AND exhausting kick lines and transitions. If you blink, you might miss the action.

Napa High School | Napa, CA
With over 9 championship titles in the Small Varsity Pom division, Napa continues to bring passion and excellence. This year, they're aiming for a 10-peat.

Olathe Northwest High School | Olathe, KS
Strong in all divisions, this team is one to watch for in the top of many different style categories, including pom and jazz.

Sachem North High School | Ronkonkoma, NY
Boasting titles in multiple divisions and executing diverse styles with ease, Sachem North is certainly a crowd favorite.

Sachem East High School | Farmingville, NY
2014 champs in the medium varsity jazz and medium varsity hip hop division; Sachem East is a showstopper.

West Springfield High School | West Springfield, VA
With a knack for original and particularly shocking routines, this program has snagged 6 titles so far and is looking to land another large varsity hip hop division title.

At the 2016 NDA High School National Championship, you'll witness some of the most prestigious dance programs, as they present inventive and crowd-pleasing performances. From "synchronized swimming" routines to unexpected jedi appearances, at nationals, you just never know what's going to hit the stage next.
