As spring rolls in, more and more athletic teams are heading into a long-awaited off season. But with USA Nationals around the corner, dance teams are just getting started! Think you've got what it takes to win? Here are the 10 signs you're a top-notch competitive dancer: 

1. You say, “I can’t, I have dance class,” at least once a day.

It drives your friends crazy, but you know it takes hours to nail the perfect routine. 

2. Your body bends in ways most people can’t even imagine



3. Dizziness isn’t really a thing for you anymore. 

It's called spotting, and its the secret to practicing turns for hours without losing your mind. 

4. Your teammates are practically your sisters. 

Sometimes you see your team more than you see your actual family . . . 

5. You know how to express just about every emotion.

From sass to sorrow, having the right facial expression is just as important as having the right moves. 

6. You’ve got insane muscle control. 

Dance requires expertise in body isolation - it's what gives the look of grace and power that dancers strive for. 

7. You’re always the first – and last – one on the dance floor

After all, you need a place to let out all the goofy moves your coach won't let you do during practice. 

8. You use more hairspray than an 80s pop star

When you've got a performance, your 'do has to be LOCKED DOWN. 

9. You've got an entire closet full of costumes

Because who doesn't need spandex and rhinestones in every single color?

10. You can’t imagine life without dance.
