Roll Call: Meet the Ole Miss Cheer Teams!
On the sidelines in the south, you'll find that fans love their football and their cheerleaders. Ole Miss, in Oxford Mississippi is the perfect example of this game day love story, and we've got the scoop on the 2016-17 team.

In the 2016-2017 season, the Rebels' cheerleading team will feature 51 athletes, and you can expect to see familiar faces as 26 veterans return to the sidelines this fall. Made up of two teams, large coed and all-girl, the squads have a strong team dynamic heading into the new season.

Our team is traditionally known for our strong and creative pyramids. But I'm expecting stronger stunting out of this group this season. -- Arikka Harakal, Coach and Coordinator
Good teams become great once they set their goals, and Coach Harakal already has a game plan.

Our goal is to build upon the strong traditions of Ole Miss cheer. I have been here for four years now, and our team is only getting better! I hope to improve our overall game day presence with the building of 'The Pavilion,' our new basketball arena, and the enclosing of our football stadium, 'Vaught Hemingway.'
These exciting changes mean big things for the game day environment at Ole Miss, and the cheer teams plan to bring their best when it comes to pumping up the fans and putting on a performance. Keep up with the teams this season by following them on Twitter @OleMissCheer!
