Students With Disabilities Add Sparkle To Round Rock Sidelines
The Sparkle Effect is a non-profit organization created to bring together students with and without disabilities through cheer and dance.
At home football games in Round Rock, Texas, you'll find a little extra sparkle on the sidelines during the first quarter.
The Sparkle Effect team, STARR, is a crowd favorite in Round Rock High School's stadium, and when they make their game-day appearance, the team and crowd have more to smile about. You can feel the genuine spirit and love in the stadium as students with and without disabilities cheer together to rally the Dragons and engage the fans.
There's really no other way to describe it -- sparkle is exactly what the program adds to the game-day experience: for the fans, the cheer team, the team, and community.
