SURPRISE! You're about to be on the cover of America's most popular cheerleading magazine!

That's what Clemson Senior MyKayla Pearson discovered on the sidelines at last Saturday's home game against Syracuse. She was preparing for the game by warming up her stunts and tumbling, but she was not prepared for what her coach was about to reveal.

Tori Polsinello, Clemson's Head Cheer Coach, asked MyKayla to hold a 'new sign' while the entire team was turned to face the stands. MyKayla, eyes closed, held the sign high as the team turned around. Everyone began cheering and shouting with excitement.



MyKayla was holding the next cover of American Cheerleader Magazine -- and she was on it.

She opened her eyes and took it all in -- all of her hard work, leadership and years of cheer experience had landed her one of the highest honors afforded to cheerleaders across the nation.



Congratulations, MyKayla -- we can't wait to read the feature in the next issue of American Cheerleader!
